Prim Old World Santa Doll

Now that we have cooler weather and the leaves are falling, I'm inside most of the time. And that means I'm more busy with Christmas goodies!

I have a couple new dolls and one new pattern to share with all my blogging friends!

I so adore this guy! He is available in my etsy shop along with a pattern to create him yourself! My Etsy shop is here >>> Rock River Stitches

And also available in my shop is Miss Holly. She is perfect for Christmas or even after the holidays. Her holly halo can be removed to display year round!

And I have to show you the gorgeous Virginia Creeper growing on the shop barn behind my house. It turns all the autumn colors this time of the year.

Everywhere you look in NW Illinois now is color. A few of the trees have most of their leaves gone but still much color to see!

A few weeks ago hubby and I went to an amazing pumpkin patch. Country Corners has 80 acres of pumpkins, gourds, corn, soybeans, and who knows what else I didn't see!

They also had a few farm animals you could feed. I just love goaties!

All of these gourds I picked from the field. I could have spent hours looking for the perfect ones, but hubby was ready to go.

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween! I'm ready with the candy I hide from hubby. He is terrible when it comes to those snack size candy bars!

Peace and Love to All!

Welcome December! Another month has flown by!

What a whirlwind last week was with Thanksgiving! No time for sewing for those 4 days around Thanksgiving. Too busy with family and my three grandchildren who certainly keep me on my toes!
Nothing but silence now which is alright with me! hehe

So I have many New Primitive creations looking for new homes!

I love making these snowmen and tree make do's! Their faces make me smile :)

I now have a pattern available for my Primitive Christmas Angel Cat Ornie! You can find it in my Etsy Shop here Rock River Stitches

These sweet little Primitive Nesting birds are so cute! I have one available along with the pattern for them! Super easy pattern to make up quick to decorate your tree!!

This Primitive Candlestick tree turned out so cool!! Available in my Etsy Shop!

So this is what I've been up to lately! Time to get back to work as I have several new ideas!!

New Items...Just in time for Christmas!

Never a dull moment around here! We had our first measurable snowfall this past Saturday. Not much, just little over a inch and a half. Early for snow for us.

Enough about weather. Not to fond about winter.hehe

Here are a few new items that are in my etsy shop!

I cannot get over how cute this Teaspoon Mouse ornament is! It's made with a pattern by Pam Gracia of Soft in the Head. She is such a talented artist! You can visit her Etsy shop here ---> Soft in the Head

I've managed to create a few more coin purses in between other items I'm working on.

Have a wonderful Tuesday and stay warm!

Christmas is Right Around the Corner!

I'm in the Christmas mood for sure in my work studio! Santa's, Reindeer and Christmas Trees are being created!

The Reindeer is something new for this year. He was a little challenging but I was successful first time around! He is made of tan wool that I found at the Goodwill for a bargain price of 3 yards for $4.85!! Someone who obviously was into sewing had dropped off a ton of fabric at the my favorite Goodwill.

I had several requests for more of my Santa Dolls after my feature on Etsy. I have one left in my shop now.

And I had posted on Pinterest the pattern for my Primitive Christmas Tree Make Do's. They turned out to be a huge repinned item. Received several messages wondering if I make the finished item for the trees. So I have been busy making these trees.

All of these items can now be found listed for sale in my Etsy shop here ----> Rock River Stitches

That's about it for now. Time to get back to sewing! Have a Wonderful Weekend!

Oh my goodness...I can't believe how long it's been since I lasted posted on my blog.

I can tell you that I have been extremely busy creating! And it's awhile since I have made a new pattern. I've noticed that Fox's have become very popular lately and thought I would create one. As of yesterday I now have a new pattern for my Fox pincushion on Pattern Mart and in my etsy shop.

I currently have 3 sets of these in my shop!!!

A few weeks ago Hubby and I visited my daughter and family in North Carolina. They live close to the Blue Ridge Mountains and it's just beautiful there in the Fall.

Ducks at Lake Junaluska

Well that's it for now. Need to get back to sewing. Many more primitives to create.

New Primitive Snowman and Tree Make Do's

Thanks to everyone who answered my question in my last post about my Snowman Doll if he should have sparkle or no sparkle. I think I only had one person out of 13 that voted for without. I made my snowman doll sparkle, and listed him in my etsy shop and he was snagged up right away. I will be making more of my Mr. Jingles Snowman doll very soon!

I've gotten a few Primitive Christmas make do's finished and listed in my etsy shop. I will be listing another tonight. Trying desperately to get more finished goods listed in my shop as I keep getting questions asking if I only sell patterns. Need to learn how to balance taking orders, making finished items and working on new creations. Never enough hours in a day.

Here are some of the Make Do's that I listed this past weekend. Click here ---> Rock River Stitches to see them for sale in my etsy shop.

And these sets, below will be listed tonight and tomorrow night!!

This is one of the last of my blooming Zinnia's. All of my Hosta have turned to their fall yellow and most of my annuals are gone or almost gone. We really haven't had a killing frost yet.

Mums are doing fantastic right now!!

Red-bellied Woodpecker in our one surviving oak tree in the front. These guys are just huge when they come to my window feeder, which isn't to often. So much larger then the regular birds that I have daily.

This is the one and only egg gourd that I was able to grow this year. :( Had a problem with some kind of bug eating the vines from the inside out. I think it might have been the cucumber beetle. I will try again next year to grow the egg gourds.

Burning Bush is so pretty this year!

These red mums were a gift several years ago from my daughter for Mother's Day.

Sugar Maple looking so pretty too!

Have a wonderful Monday my blogging friends!
