So hubby and I took a drive to LeClaire Iowa, which is about 20 minutes from the Quad Cities to see the Eagles at Lock and Dam 14. There were a ton of people taking pictures. I'm sure it was because it was such a beautiful sunny day and in the mid 40's! It's about time we get some nice warm temps! At this place you could get closer to the eagles. I was below the trees they were sitting in and taking the pics. Doing this today made me feel much better after my Dad passing away on Thursday. We made the funeral arrangements yesterday and that was not easy to do. My mom is having a really hard time with all this. Funeral is Monday. I will be glad when that day is over.
I am sooo sorry for your loss :(
ReplyDeleteThat is never easy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
It must have been nice to see these beautiful birds up close. You got some really nice photos this time.
Best wishes.
What an amazing bird, you really got close. I think it is looking right back at ya! Enjoy the warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteSometimes nature brings such sweet solace. I'm sorry to hear of your dad's passing.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I've lost both of my parents and no matter what the situation it's never easy.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your father. My dad died in 2007 and it's been one of the hardest things that I have gone through. Many hugs and prayers for you. The eagle pictures are gorgeous too.

ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. The funeral was yesterday and my mom made it through it, barely. We just have to take it one day at a time.

Beautiful pictures of the eagles. They winter in our neck of the woods and I love taking their pictures.

ReplyDeleteVery sorry to hear about the loss of your father, parents are like the roof over one's home, it is truly unsettling to lose one. My thoughts are with you and your family.
ReplyDeleteOn a more cheerful note, fabulous pictures of the eagles, they must be an awesome sight in the flesh!
