New Primitive Coin Purses!

I have a few more coin purses for sale!! A few of them will be listed in my etsy shop tonight! These are so fun to make!! Click here to my shop---> Rock River Stitches

In other news.....On Thursday night we were to get this huge snowstorm. All the weathermen were so excited about it and then we only get 3 to 4 inches. There is a supposedly another biggie for Tuesday....We will see.

Well anyway on Friday I decided to build me a birdfeeder snowman!! I had seen this idea several years ago in a Birds and Blooms magazine and had kept the idea in my head for a long time. So I made a Snow Lady!!   The feeling making this snowman brought back wonderful memories when I was a kid. It was pure joy!! I had great fun creating her!

It wasn't more then 2 minutes after I came in the house...There was Mrs. Cardinal!!

I knew the squirrels would be by next. They showed up a couple of hours later!!!

The squirrels did a number on the sunflower seed. They cleaned her out! As usual :)

And captured this shot of this Carolina Wren! They LOVE my homemade suet!

I get a pair of them every morning. They are always the first birds to show up just after the sun comes up. I believe these birds are the cutest!!!

  1. The coin purses are so pretty but the snow lady is delightful!

  2. Love your little coin purses and your pictures were so nice too!

  3. Now those are some of the cutest coin purses I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing your photos of that wonderful snow lady. I know what I am doing with my grandson Travis Lloyd on Tuesday. My flock of birds and gathering of squirrels will thank you too...It continues to snow here in Southern Maine. Greetings from Dog Trot Farm, Julie.

  4. I love your snow lady, that is such a fun idea. We ended up getting rain instead of snow, but that is ok with me.

  5. Love your coin purses. How adorable!
Your snow lady is so sweet. Love the pictures of the critters that came to eat the seed. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Oh I just LOVE these coin purses! I received mine last week and it even prettier in person! Very well made! I'm glad you enjoy making them as I would not know where to start! The Snowlady birdfeeder is adorable... it's good she is strong enough to hold up them squirrels! lol!

  7. Adore the snow lady bird feeder. So clever - we have snow here in western New York state, but it's too crusty to create a snow person - will have to wait until the next snow fall. Will you be making more coin purses - love both the goose and bunny, but not available in your Etsy shop. I'll keep checking back, just in case. Will you be creating a pattern for the coin purses?

  8. Thank you everyone for the comments! Kathy, yes I will be making more coin purses! The goose and bunny sold right away. I will be making those two along with a few new ones. Sorry there will be no pattern for the coin purse.

I will post new photos here on my blog of new coin purses!
