Oh my goodness...I can't believe how long it's been since I lasted posted on my blog.

I can tell you that I have been extremely busy creating! And it's awhile since I have made a new pattern. I've noticed that Fox's have become very popular lately and thought I would create one. As of yesterday I now have a new pattern for my Fox pincushion on Pattern Mart and in my etsy shop.

And I have the finished Fox Pincushion for sale in my Etsy Shop too.

I have a few Christmas Items newly made and for sale in my Etsy Shop.

My Primitive Crescent Moon Santa Ornies have always been a hit. They are now listed in my Etsy Shop

And these Snowman and Tree Make Do's are very popular. Get requests for these to be made every year!

I currently have 3 sets of these in my shop!!!

A few weeks ago Hubby and I visited my daughter and family in North Carolina. They live close to the Blue Ridge Mountains and it's just beautiful there in the Fall.

New Goodies for Sale!

Can't believe that it has been over a month since my last post!! I have a few new items to share with you. First off I have a new primitive crow coin purse that will be listed in my Rock River Stitches Etsy Shop tonight. Giving you a little sneak peak!!

I'm working on a couple more purses right now. Hope to have them listed soon. If you have any ideas in a type of coin purse that you would be interested in, post a comment and I'll see what I can do. I'm up for ideas!

Also in my other etsy shop Red Oak Images I have new heart shaped glass photo pendant necklaces!!

Here are a few I have listed among others right now.

And I would like to share a few photos I took in North Carolina while visiting my daughter and family.

These snow shots were taken one morning. Huge flakes fell for about a half hour. It was just beautiful! Then it warmed up and all of it melted away. The third shot is looking out my daughters living room window. Don't know if you can see the train going by. You can barely see it's headlight.

Then hubby and I ventured out to Lake Junaluska, which is down the road aways from my daughters house.

Lots of Ducks and Geese there.

I loved this goose! Thought it was beautifully marked!

These little birds were so cute!! They are American Coots. They weren't afraid of you at all.

I just couldn't get over how different and cute their little feet were! They swam just like ducks in the water.

And my daughter is lucky to have bluebirds around her house. Something I don't have.

Then my son in law took hubby and I to meet Tom MacDonald. He was on one of the American Picker's episodes. He and his family of 7 kids live in a old motel that they have fixed up. He finds and collects old motorcycles and parts. His kids help him sell the parts on ebay. Tom sold an old samurai outfit to Mike and Frank on the episode of American Pickers. Tom is a friend and patient of my son in law who is a chiropractor.  My hubby was so excited to meet this guy! Hubby loves motorcycles.

Tom on the left, Hubby on the right. Tom was a very interesting character for sure!! He had to show us his recording studio that he turned a couple of the motel rooms into. And he even played a recording of one of the songs that will be on his new album. Very interesting guy!

This is a photo of one of the old barns that is down the road from where my daughter lives.

Then on the way home in the car, I got bored and started taking pictures through the car window. I had no idea if they would turn out or not going 70mph. LOL But some of them did like these horses in the field in Kentucky.

And this old Barn.

So I guess that's about it for now. I promise I won't be a stranger for so long again.

Hiking in North Carolina

I recently was in North Carolina visiting my daughter and her family. We were there to celebrate my grandson's first birthday which I didn't want to miss. We all had such a good time! On Sunday (Super Bowl Sunday) we decide to take a hike as the weather was beautiful, close to 60ยบ. We drove to the Blue Ridge Parkway to see, one of the many falls called Skinny Dip Falls. And to also see Looking Glass Rock which was amazing!! I got my exercise that day!! And what a beautiful place to do it at!!

Daughter and grandson in tow. Just about the whole trail look like this with rocks and tree roots. It was about a 1/2 mile hike.

This was a very interesting the way this tree was growing. I guess they call it the reindeer tree.

I loved the moss growing on everything!

Fungi growing on a tree

My Son in law and granddaughter peeking out from inside a hollowed out tree stump!

Made it to Skinny Dip Falls. And...no... there were no people skinny dipping! LOL

I just love this photo of my daughter and grandson!!!

A lot of the trail was like this!

Loved the moss!!

So that was our hiking trip and I'm ready to go back and find another falls in the mountains of North Carolina. I guess there are many to be seen!

Birthday Party Time!

We had a celebration for my grandson who turned 1 and his great grandfather who just turned 93. They have the same birthday, February 1st !!!! My daughter always makes a fruit tower for her kids. A more healthy way to celebrate birthdays. We did have gluten free brownies for great grandfather and it was yummy! The best brownies I've ever had!

And another fun thing we did was go roller skating!!! It was my granddaughters first time on roller skates. She wasn't to sure about the whole thing first. But she finally got the hang of it later. It was so fun! Been like 20 years since I had put on some skates! I loved roller skating as a kid!

Cora with Robin who is a Roller Derby Mama!!! She is a friend of my daughters.

Fun times....I'm ready to go back to North Carolina, but I don't think it will be for awhile.
