Sunday I was outside sitting on my back step talking to my mom on the phone when I noticed what looked like a rabbit nest with a bunch of fur and leaves in one corner of our basement window well. I was pretty excitied that maybe I would get a chance to see the babies sometime. Well.....today when my daughter and granddaughter walked out the back door there was mamma nursing her babies!!!! She wasn't even afraid of us and we were like 3 feet away. If you look close you can see a couple of the babies underneath her. Oh I hope to see them again. I will try to take more pics of them in the days ahead.
How precious! We rescued a young rabbit recently that our cat brought home. It was more tame than we expected. I hope you enjoy those babies!
ReplyDeleteOh, how sweet. We get them nesting under the bushes in our front yard. They tend to burrow in the ground too, so now I make sure my husband walks the yard before he mows.

oh how cute and such a rare site! I love bunnies and miss seeing them now that we are in the mountains. (I see them rarely here, but where we used to live in Littleton they were around every day.)
ReplyDeletehow sweet..:)
ReplyDeleteThis place sings of joy! Great art dear! Blessings.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it!!!! We saw baby bunnies hopping about yesterday, but we didn't have our camera with them.
ReplyDeleteBTW, did you know that your twitter link doesn't work?
Oh my gosh!!! I just love the little bunnies!!! He is sooooooo cute. I was weeding and found a little one under some leaves so I quickly put them back.
ReplyDeleteSoooo, cute, too bad they can also wreak havoc! I have a deer problem that is frustrating me right now, and rabbits are a lot cuter! Karen
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable. We've had baby bunnies several times up around my water hose reels and in the long grass around my air conditioner. I try to make sure my dogs don't find them. Love to watch them.

I just read the update to this post. How sad one little bunny had to die because someone doesn't keep watch over their cat. If you have a Have-A-Heart trap (the kind that doesn't hurt the animal it traps)I would trap the cat, feed it and not let it go until the babies are gone. Maybe the owners will get a little worried and keep their cat on their property. Blessings, Loretta
