Back Up and Running!

I was without a computer for a few days. Mine took a dump on Monday morning with the death blue screen. Got it into the shop Monday night and got it back late this morning. Thank goodness it wasn't anything serious like a virus or anything else. Just had to replace the WiFi thingy on it.
While I didn't have my computer to waste time on I did manage to work on orders and take more pictures of wildlife in my yard.

White-Crowned Sparrow. Love these little guys with their black and white Mohawk

Another pic of him.

I've been getting loads of American Goldfinches!!! I had hubby attach another shepards hook onto the one I already had. So now I have 3 feeders and more goldfinches!

Just can't resist taking pictures of Mr. Cardinal in our big oak tree.

I hung up all my hummingbird feeders on Saturday and noticed them at my feeder on Monday. This is a male ruby throated hummer. The males always arrive 1 to 2 weeks before the females do.

 Plump I think Mrs. Robin

All my feeders!

Mr. American Goldfinch

This was so funny. I was taking pics of the birds when this squirrel found a patch of sun on the deck and stretched out and laid like that for a few minutes. He almost closed his eyes and took a nap.

White-Crowned Sparrow

And last but not least, my half tail squirrel, Lucy!!!

And tonight my primitive chippy paint bird make do that I listed a week ago ends tonight on ebay. I will be listing these 2 new birds tonight on ebay.

Have a wonderful evening!!!!

  1. Your bird photos are fantastic. The color on the goldfinches is spectacular! I've never had one of the white-crowned sparrows in my yard. The crown is very distinctive. My squirrels do the lay flat thing too once in awhile....too funny! Sometimes my cat does it too!

  4. I love all the birds and critters who come to visit you. I finally got another, larger bird feeder, so getting more birds, but not as many as you do. Love seeing the finishes, cardinals and bluebirds come by to eat.

  7. So glad your computer is fixed!! I enjoyed all of your pictures. I have been enjoying watching all the birds as well. Today was the first day that we spotted hummingbirds. So far I think we have two males.

    Have a great day!!

  8. I really enjoy your bird photos and the squirrel sunning himself is priceless.
I'm curious as to what type of feeders you have and the type of food you put in them. I'm trying to attract more birds to my yard. All I seem to get is chickadees and the occasional robin and blue jay.
    Have a great day!

  9. Shirlee, I feed my birds only black oil sunflower seeds and nyjer seed. The goldfinches LOVE the nyjer seed the best. The one feeder that I have in the back is filled with the black oil sunflower seed. It's a really good squirrel proof feeder I got at Lowe's. The cage feeder is filled with the nyjer seed which I got from duncraft.com and the other is just an ordinary nyjer seed feeder.

  10. Great bird photos! I can't believe how many goldfinches we are getting this year. And the hummers arrived in east TN this past week. A male came up to the kitchen window, hovered for a while, and looked at us. Guess he was telling us he was here and hungry!
