Shhhhh.....Fox's Sleeping

Wow...Where has the time gone since my last post! After a much needed vacation with family and break from sewing, I'm back at it!

And I'm in the process of filling my etsy shop back up with a flock of my Primitive Owl Ornies! This guy is ready to fly to his new home!

Not a whole lot of anything else going on. From time to time I do get my camera out and photograph wildlife.

Black Squirrel digging for his supper. Been getting snow every couple of days now.

Bought myself a heated birdbath this year. I'm amazed at how many birds and squirrels come to it! Little Goldfinch and House Finch getting a drink.

A couple of Female Dark Eyed Juncos shooting the breeze.

And a Male Dark Eyed Junco on the newly fall snow, searching for a bite to eat.

Snowman Dolls are Here!

After several requests for more of my Jingle Jangle Snowman dolls, I have a few ready to purchase from my etsy shop now!

New Items...Just in time for Christmas!

Never a dull moment around here! We had our first measurable snowfall this past Saturday. Not much, just little over a inch and a half. Early for snow for us. 

Enough about weather. Not to fond about winter.hehe

Here are a few new items that are in my etsy shop!

I've managed to create a few more coin purses in between other items I'm working on.

Christmas is Right Around the Corner!

I'm in the Christmas mood for sure in my work studio! Santa's, Reindeer and Christmas Trees are being created! 

The Reindeer is something new for this year. He was a little challenging but I was successful first time around! He is made of tan wool that I found at the Goodwill for a bargain price of 3 yards for $4.85!! Someone who obviously was into sewing had dropped off a ton of fabric at the my favorite Goodwill. 

I had several requests for more of my Santa Dolls after my feature on Etsy. I have one left in my shop now.

And I had posted on Pinterest the pattern for my Primitive Christmas Tree Make Do's. They turned out to be a huge repinned item. Received several messages wondering if I make the finished item for the trees. So I have been busy making these trees.

Primitive Scrappy Birds!

These sweet birds are now finished! I am adding them to my etsy shop today. A few are already there to purchase.

They stand 5" tall and are 7" long. They stand on cute rusty wire legs. Love creating these guys from the huge lot of fabric scraps and vintage lace. Their beaks are from a whittled twig. Perfect I think!

I still have several Halloween items that can be purchased! I always get my orders out the same day or next day after purchasing.

Among the Halloween are these birds! Seems today's post is all about Birds! Which I adore!

Some Quiet Time Now

Things have settled down now after the big Feature on Etsy a couple of weeks ago. I was crazy busy packing up sold items and answering emails. Even after my time was up for being featured, the sales kept coming in the rest of the week. I sold over 3/4 of the finished items I had made and tons of patterns!

So now I am trying to build up the inventory in my shop for Christmas. I'm officially done with creating for Halloween. 

Here is my last Halloween item I finished the other day. It's now for sale in my shop.

It's made from a very old pattern of mine from 2008. I had only made one finished item back then and since then sold many of the pattern. To see this cutie go to my etsy shop here Rock River Stitches Etsy Shop

This sweet gal, I just listed today! She is available in my shop now.

I'm working on a few of my little scrappy birds right now. My last one sold during the feature. These are of past birds that have found their forever homes.

I believe the Fall Color around here is close to peak. Took a fantastic walk this morning in the fog and got some amazing photos!

And even found this spiderweb with dew on it!

I'm still mastering the skill in photographing spiderwebs. Very tricky.

I'm A Etsy Featured Artist!

Wow...A lot has happened since my last post!! A few days after posting on my blog I find out that Etsy has chosen me to be a Featured Shop on Oct. 3rd! I never thought in a million years that they would choose me!

So that is where I have been since the end of August. Getting ready for the big feature! I have been sewing like crazy to get my shop filled with primitive goodies!

Busy busy! I have a couple new Primitive Cat Dolls and a new pattern for my Primitive Pumpkin Pincushion!

Primitive Halloween in July!

I so can't believe that my last post was in May. I really need to post more often. I've been so busy the last couple of months trying to stock up both of my Etsy Shops for fall and Christmas. 

Here is a little something for Halloween that I have completed. 

This Halloween Pumpkin Guy Pincushion was made from a pattern that I created several years ago.
