I've started working on Fall/Halloween projects! Need to get a good start as Fall is my biggest season!

Now available in my shop are these Primitive Fall Woodland Crow and Owl pillows! Lots of details in these one of a kind home decor pillows! Shop-----> Rock River Stitches

Made from scraps of wool fabric. Sewn in the applique process. Some hand sewing and machine sewing go into these.

  

 

 

The background fabric is a cotton canvas. The back is plain cotton canvas. The pillows measure 14" square and are stuffed firmly.

Hello Spring!

 Hello! It's been over a year since my last post and I think it's time to get back on here and share a few things!

I have many new Spring Home decor items available in my shop--> Etsy Shop

 

First is my latest creation that I finished yesterday. Chicken and Chicks made from reclaimed fabrics. The baby chicks are quilted fabric!

 Then I have a few Spring Appliqued Hearts made from my fabric scrap stash. The background fabric is from a vintage textured tablecloth.

Here are my Sweet Birds in Nests! They are made from vintage tablecloth. They are sitting in a painted peat pot with wood excelsior nest. So cute on a shelf!

 

 

 

Lots of hand stitching goes into these sweet birds!

Primitive Winter Snowmen and Trees

 Happy Saturday Friends! How is your holiday decorating coming along? Started decorating last weekend. Took a couple of days. Now on to getting my Christmas shopping done. 

I added a couple new Winter primitive goodies in my Etsy shop!

 

 

These trees were made from a old vintage lace tablecloth. Perfect size for a shelf or your fireplace mantel. I just love the wooden textile bobbins for the trunks!

 

 

 

I also added a tiny silver and white trim around the tree. Just a little bit of sparkle. Notice the decorative edge of the table cloth I placed at the base of the tree.

 

 

And I have a few of these snowmen that I make every year! I think the tree and the snowman make a nice couple!

Hello Friends! Hope you are having a wonderful Labor Day!

No big plans for us. Running errands like any other usual day. Stopped at Target and just looked at their Fall decor. Proud of myself for not buying anything. I have plenty and then some!

Can hardly believe Fall is just weeks away now. My how time flys!

Working on Fall Creations!

When July comes around, I'm always ready to start on Fall Home Decor! So I took a pattern from last year that I created and added a twist to these new pumpkins!

Yesterday morning Hubby and I visited a local Sunflower Farm! Something I've always wanted to do! This farm used to be a Strawberry picking farm. But this year they decided to plant Sunflowers. I was in heaven taking photos! Below are just a few of the tons of photos I took!

When you walked in between the rows of the sunflowers it was amazing how loud the bees were! Pollinators were certainly working hard in those fields!

Prim Old World Santa Doll

Now that we have cooler weather and the leaves are falling, I'm inside most of the time. And that means I'm more busy with Christmas goodies!

I have a couple new dolls and one new pattern to share with all my blogging friends!

And also available in my shop is Miss Holly. She is perfect for Christmas or even after the holidays. Her holly halo can be removed to display year round!

And I have to show you the gorgeous Virginia Creeper growing on the shop barn behind my house. It turns all the autumn colors this time of the year. 

Everywhere you look in NW Illinois now is color. A few of the trees have most of their leaves gone but still much color to see!

A few weeks ago hubby and I went to an amazing pumpkin patch. Country Corners has 80 acres of pumpkins, gourds, corn, soybeans, and who knows what else I didn't see!

They also had a few farm animals you could feed. I just love goaties!

All of these gourds I picked from the field. I could have spent hours looking for the perfect ones, but hubby was ready to go. 

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween! I'm ready with the candy I hide from hubby. He is terrible when it comes to those snack size candy bars!

Dreaming of Halloween in July

It's that time of the year again! Halloween! 

I know it's July....But time for me to get busy with Halloween! 

I had a wonderful vacation a week ago and time to fire up the sewing machine!
